Why I am Running
For the past five years I have worked in the State House on a bipartisan basis and with my Democratic colleagues to pass progressive affordable housing, pragmatic & equitable criminal justice measures, consumer protections, and investments in Colorado to make it Better Than We Found It. We’ve championed common-sense gun safety measures to protect our families and communities. We’ve advanced criminal justice reforms that address inequity while ensuring our neighborhoods remain safe. We’ve stood with workers to fight for better wages and stronger protections, and we’ve expanded affordable housing solutions to ensure that Denver & Colorado remains a welcoming home for everyone. I have passed Tenant Protections, removed junk fees, reduced costly government parking mandates. I have supported the sustainable climate goals from EVs, e-bikes, and Public transit to removing dirty energy in the state and supporting our energy communities with sustainable and focused Just transition support. I will always help the constituents of SD31 with constituent services, coffee meetings, and an open ear to issues you are facing in our community.
